Back on board again, joined in Gothenburg, such a pleasure to join without having to deal with any airports and the hassle of checkpoints and x-ray machines and taking off your belt or getting body frisked, belt off shoes off......where will it end.

We loaded 3 types of oil for Luleå, so we are headed for the Gulf of Bothnia and the ice, we will need ice breaker assistance to get up there, then we are off to St. Petersburg and more ice and Russian efficiency, great combination which requires patience and tolerance and something good to read.

I have begun to read "The hound of The Baskervilles" by Arthur Conan Doyle, I haven't gotten passed the preface yet but it is also interseting biographically speaking, and his name beats all Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, born into a Catholic family in Scotland, a fan of Victoria, an acquantance of Churchill, Boer War Vet., cricket playing author who was trained as a Doctor, but gave it up as the writing game paid better. I'm sure he has had better biographical comments but thats the gist of it and of course he created Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. I look forward to a good read.

The prevailing fashion onboard for all the clothing enthusiasts is very proletarian work wear, with a twist, labels in the workwear scene are important as I have observed, plenty pockets, slightly worn and "Fristads" or "Blåklader" preferable, in fact you can't have too few pockets, which is a disaster for me as I am not a pocket person give me ten pockets and I'll find my keys, change, bus ticket or whatever I'm looking for in the tenth pocket, I need one pocket or no pockets, or a plastic bag tied to a brush handle...Accesories to the work clothes look are screwdrivers in top left pocket, a notbook and pen top right, some kind of multitool or adjustable spanner an oil stain or paint splash, one of the pockets can have a rip for good measure and of course a tape measure. Faded blue is a good colour also black and a few reflectors. Those with more impeccable taste tend to sneer imperceptibly at the less tasteful like me who have jeans and a fleece and mimimal pockets. Its a tough world trying to keep in fashion, haircut in the working environment will be reviewed next week.

Summer time begins tonight, but you would not think it by the weather, snow and minus temperatures, not good weather for brass monkeys but thats another story.
As the brother of the brother would say "heres me bus, good luck"
